Instacart+ members can update their auto-renew settings, payment method, plan type, and set membership reminders on our website or app. 

Manage your membership

For existing Instacart+ members—

  1. On the website, select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner (website) or the Account icon in the upper right corner (app).
  2. Select Your Instacart+ Membership (website) or Settings > Your Instacart+ Membership (app).
  3. Under Manage your membership, select Renew membership and choose Annual plan or Monthly plan.

For trial members—

  1. On the website, select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner (website) or the Account icon in the upper right corner (app).
  2. Select Your Instacart+ membership (website) or Settings > Your Instacart+ membership (app). 
  3. Under Manage your membership, select Renew membership and choose Annual plan or Monthly plan.

At the end of your trial period, you’ll be charged a membership fee if your membership auto-enrolls into a paid membership plan. You can view your membership details and cancel your trial before it ends in your account settings.

Update your payment method

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner (website) or the Account icon in the upper right corner (app).
  2. Select Your Instacart+ Membership (website) or Settings > Your Instacart+ membership (app).
  3. Under Preferred payment method, select Change.
  4. Choose a saved payment method or add a new one.
  5. Enter the payment information and select Confirm payment method.

You can also use PayPal or Klarna to sign up for an Instacart+ membership or change an existing membership.

Cancel your membership

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner (website) or the Account icon in the upper right corner (app).
  2. Select Your Instacart+ Membership (website) or Settings > Your Instacart+ membership (app).
  3. Under Manage your membership, select Cancel membership
    • If you change your mind, you can also set up a reminder sent for 3 days before the membership renews.
    • On the Instacart+ page, you can see when your membership expires.
  4. Select Continue to cancel.
  5. Select your reason for leaving from the dropdown list.
  6. Select End on [date].

You can return to this page and select Renew membership at any time to become an Instacart+ member again.

You’ll get an email confirming your cancellation. If you can’t find this email, check your spam folder.

For all members, you may cancel your Instacart+ membership within the first 5 calendar days of your paid Instacart+ membership and get a refund of the Instacart+ membership fee you paid, but only if you haven't placed any orders using your Instacart+ membership.

If you cancel at any other time, you won't get a refund, but you can continue enjoying the free deliveries through the end of your billing period.

View your Instacart+ savings

To see your savings in your account—

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner (website) or the Account icon in the upper right corner (app).
  2. Select Your Instacart+ Membership (website) or Settings > Your Instacart+ membership (app).
  3. At the top, you’ll see Your savings. Here you'll also see—
    • when you became a member,
    • how many orders you’ve placed, and
    • your total savings from reduced service fees and $0 delivery fees on orders of $35 or more.

To see your savings at checkout—

Look for the Instacart+ benefits line item, which breaks down your savings on service and delivery fees.
